Default Hydro 6X6 Amphibious ATV

Hi, hopefully this is the first post of many leading to a complete conversion of my ATV. I am looking for some advice and technical help with converting my 6 wheeled ATV to hydraulic drive. I was thinking of putting a motor at each wheel and a circuit for each side for turning. It skid steers like a tank.

The vehicle gross weight is 1100lbs. It must be able to climb steep hills and do about 30 mph on the flat. It is amphibious so I would like to have a hydraulically driven propeller that would be used when in water and the wheel motors are sitting idle. Freewheeling would be necessary for pushing it around in the garage or in the case of a breakdown.

Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

I assume the axles are chain driven right now? How about some pics of the drive configuration? I would go with 1 hydraulic motor for each side and keep the chain drive. Several others were doing similar things, so look around on this site a bit. As for amphibious, how about a small outboard boat motor for lake cruising?
