No bites last time, but it is back up and he posted a few others from the shop. For revolver lovers that Mountain lite is REALLY light. It feels like nothing in your hand.

That 1911 looks sweet!

I've never bought a gun built by a gun smith, is that roughly what they're worth, $1800 bucks? Seems a bit steep but I don't know much about those high-end guns.... I'm sure it's really nice.

I love 1911's..... I wish I had the money.

It's worth all of 1800, but the question is whether it would be worth 1800 to you.

I know you like the race cars, and a high quality stock car would be big dollars, hence all the sponsorship. Now I have never driven a stock car, would I be able to appreciate the workmanship of a custom built stocker that handled perfectly over "standard" stocker?

Take a out of the box gun like a Kimber. A high end Kimber is fine gun, but the gun in the link is all Custom Caspian and a Caspian makes a better one.

All the parts in the Caspian have been sanded, ground, and/or milled, lathed down to the 1000, and less, of an inch. If you are shooter, then you will be able to tell. Like if you are a race car driver you can tell the perfectly balanced and tuned stock car.

If you are guy who shoots every now and again and just want a soild reliable shooter, then I would direct you to one of the different guns my dad sells. He builds for all budgets and skill levels. (I don't even shoot a Caspian)

The reason I promote his stuff and know it is a good deal, is that he is not a national name. If you were in the market for this type of gun then you would pay more for it from someone else. That is also why he puts his picture in the ad. His guns, he builds them, he stands behind them. His shop is a one man show.

I can see the difference between a stock gun, and a gun that was built by a gun smith...... I just didn't know what they are worth as I've never priced them.

Like I said, it looks like a sweet gun. I'm sure whoever buys it will love it!
